Welcome to IDERA virtual education. This video covers how to generate corrective scripts in SQL Doctor. SQL Doctor helps DBAs to quickly find SQL Server performance problems and provide detailed recommendations as well as dynamically generated scripts to help resolve those problems. SQL Doctor generates scripts for many of the performance recommendations that can be executed immediately against the server to perform remediation. These scripts can be reviewed and implemented directly from the GUI [graphical user interface]. By dynamically creating the script, SQL Doctor makes it easy for you to execute this change, improving the overall performance of your server. The Optimize Now window displays the script that used to enact the recommended change. Review the script, and then either click the Run button to initiate the optimization or click Cancel to return to the recommendation you were viewing. The Undo Optimization window displays the script that is used to enact the recommended change. Review the script and either click the Run button to initiate the undo or click Cancel to return to the recommendation you were viewing. The undo script can also be copied to clipboard and used at a later time. And that’s how you can generate corrective scripts in SQL Doctor.
